چکیده

A photocatalytic membrane combining photocatalyst and technology based on polyacrylonitrile (PAN) TiO2/CNT has been developed. Such combination is to overcome fouling formation the membrane, thus prolonging lifetime enhancing efficiency waste treatment. PAN nanofiber was prepared by electrospinning method. The precursor solution dissolved dispersed in N,N-Dimethylformamide (DMF). concentration varied at 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5%. effect of fiber morphology pore size discussed. performance resulted methylene blue (MB) removal also investigated a cross-flow system. SEM images identified that successfully fabricated with random orientation. 6.5% showed highest diffraction intensity anatase crystalline phase TiO2. additions CNT TiO2 lead cluster beads as confirmed TEM. Increasing increased diameter from 206 506 nm, slightly decreased surface area size, respectively, 32.739 21.077 m2.g−1 6.38 4.75 nm. PAN/TiO2/CNT nanofibers show type IV adsorption-desorption N2 isotherms H1 hysteresis loops. Membrane shows optimum MB color maintaining percentage rejection (%R) 90% for 240 min permeability 750 LMH. Copyright © 2022 Authors, Published BCREC Group. Efficient Immobilised TiO2 in Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) Membrane for Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue

Immobilised titanium dioxide (TiO2) in membrane structures has recently become attractive. This is due to the elimination of the separation step after the process of photocatalytic degradation. The efficiency of the TiO2 surface area exposed to UV light as the main important parameter needs to be considered. The immobilisation of TiO2 nanoparticles in the polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane...

A numerical study of the effect of channel spacers on the performance of cross-flow forward osmosis membrane modules

In this paper, we perform two-dimensional simulations of cross-flow forward osmosis (FO) membrane modules in the presence of draw and feed channel spacers. For this purpose, the equations corresponding to the conservation of mass, momentum, and convection-diffusion for the mass fraction of solute are solved using a commercial finite volume flow solver. We consider six configurations of channel ...

“the effect of risk aversion on the demand for life insurance: the case of iranian life insurance market”

abstract: about 60% of total premium of insurance industry is pertained?to life policies in the world; while the life insurance total premium in iran is less than 6% of total premium in insurance industry in 2008 (sigma, no 3/2009). among the reasons that discourage the life insurance industry is the problem of adverse selection. adverse selection theory describes a situation where the inf...
